One of my bucket list is to try hitchhicking. This is like quite popular thing to do in the States and in Europe. However, this isn’t common in Philippines or I guess im just not aware off.
I received a couch request from this guy named Eric. He got a very impressive profile. People He hosted and mind you it’s heaps of them. The people where he surfed and travelled with. In his profile it says he is a traveller, blogger, vegetarian, used to work for NGO and a hitchhicker!
I really don’t wish to host when he sent me the request. For the sole reason of just taking a break! However, how can u not host a guy with this kind of PROFILE??
The first time we met! He gave a me hug instead of a handshake (perfect! im a hugger)! On his first night he already wanted to go out. He stayed a good amount of time in our house! We went out couple of times and had introduced him with somefriends!
I surely enjoyed our conversation about his diet. He helped me in my challenge to be fruitarian and surely appreciate his support. He was so cool looking after me during the parties!

I’ve hosted a lot of people and different kinds too. Hosted solo travellers, couples, lovers, groups, people in their 60’s, vegan, fruitarians! What so special about these 3 French is that! They are family! You heard me right! A family travelling and couchsurfing!
I received 2 request of family of couchsurfers. This surely made me very curious. One is a Swedish Family and the other one is a French one. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to host the Swedish Family for they moved the dates. However, i was fortunate to host the French :)
I was very curious and excited to meet them. When they arrived they have this very light aura. Cedric is very nice and warm. Angelica is very sweet and very interesting to talk too. Her English isn’t that good yet but we surely enjoyed talking to her. Who doesn’t love talking to a columbian girl? :)
And of course little Noah. Noah is 2 years old. He is so cute with his thick long hair. At first he was so snob. When he got at ease. He started playing with us and Sky.
All the time they visit us back was still awesome! I miss Noah! Hope to see them soon!
They are now travelling all ove South East Asia. Please also visit their Facebook page:
It’s been awhile since I hang out with my colleagues. I had been busy hosting and also doing my fruitarian thingy. I prefer to hang out with my dear mentor to keep me focus amd avoid as much temptation as I could. This past month I’ve been partying, hanging out and hitting the beach every weekend and exposed to alcohol and cigarette yet i’ve managed not to get tempted. After months I finally hang out with friends in a local bistro. One good friend got a little tipsy and had asked me to drink. When I got home I twitted and I got this reply: haha
In general, hanging out with your friends and just letting them understand what your are doing is better than avoiding their company. After awhile they will just get use to it and just deal with it! :)
